Marina Jelovac is a PhD with the research focus on pharmacogenomics, bioinformatics and statistics. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2020. at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. She obtained her MSc diploma in applied genetics in 2021, and started her PhD studies in Genetics the same year at her home faculty.

Marina graduated with PhD in 2026. She is employed in the Group for molecular biomedicine since 2021. Her main research focuses on the use of advanced bioinformatics tools for automatic annotation of pharmacogenetic variants for identification of pharmacogenomics specificities of populations, and the influence of genetic variants on the response to the medication used in systemic sclerosis treatment. She took part as a participant and as a lecturer on several bioinformatics workshops. She actively participates in the diagnostics of rare diseases using next generation sequencing. She is a member of several scientific societies and participates on international projects PharmGenHUB and InnoThyroGen within her research group. She is a co-lead of the COST action INFLAMomx working group 4, focusing on the organization of workshops and training schools for multiomics integration.
