Our Infrastructure

Leica SP8 Confocal Microscope

Highly versatile imaging platform, flexible to accommodate a variety of specimens and fluorescence applications; live cell imaging option; 5 excitation lasers (405, 488, 514, 552 and 638 nm); spectral detection with 3 detectors (2 PMTs and 1 HyD); transmitted light detector for bright field and DIC imaging; multi-dimensional acquisitions including time series, z stacks, lambda scans.

Zeiss Axiovert 5 Inverted Fluorescence Microscope

Ideal for advanced imaging of live and fixed cell cultures; equipped with LED light source with 6 excitation lines: red (630nm and 590nm), yellow (590nm), green (555nm) and blue (475nm); Objectives LD 5x, 10x, 20x, 40x, EC Plan-Neofluar 40x and 63x; various contrasting techniques – PlasDIC, iHMC and phase contrast; microscopy camera Axiocam 208 color and Axiocam 305 mono R2.

Leica Thunder Imager

Fluorescent stereomicroscope for acquisition of images and movies of large thick samples; three computational clearing modes; equipped with 4 fluorescence filter wheels; 2 cameras for color or black and white (K8) images; large flat transparent stage to accommodate different types of carriers; gooseneck lamp for imaging of reflected light for opaque samples and small animals; fully automated Z drive; two objectives enable a magnification range from 7.8X to 240X; motorized stage; LED3 light source.

Zeiss Stemi 508 Stereo Microscope

Apochromatic stereo microscope with 8:1 zoom; Greenough optical system; white LED light source; double spot illumination; Axiocam 305 color.
