RESEARCH INTEREST
The primary goal of my research is understanding of the pathophysiology and the genetics of severe and rare diseases, especially hematological malignancies. My current focus is on the pharmacogenomics of glucocorticoids in the therapy of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and adult myeloid leukemia (AML). My investigations are also related to molecular endocrinology and the role of microRNA and long non-coding RNA in diseases. I also intensively work on the effect of host genomics on the clinical presentation of COVID-19 disease.
