International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Gender equality has always been a core issue of this organization and it has devoted significant resources to supporting female scientists.Globally, women scientists are still paid less, promoted less,win fewer grants and leave research more oftenthan similarly qualified men.This international day serves to encourage more women and girls to pursue science careers.

This year, IMGGE celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science as part of the “Scientific Calendar” project funded by the Center for the Promotion of Science. On that occasion, on February 11, 2021, the public will have access to a thematic quiz on the IMGGE Instagram page and short films about women engaged in science in Serbia on the IMGGE Facebook page.
