Dr Vesna Spasovski from the Rare Disease Research and Therapeutics Development Group received University of Ljubljana’s award for research achievement in 2024 for the publication:

Rare Disease Research and Therapeutics Development Group aims to use plant vesicles and liposomes as delivery vehicles for the development of targeted therapies, and also explores the regenerative potential of mesenchymal stem cell-derived vesicles. 

The awarded publication presents generation and characterization of nanohybridosomes, lipid nanovesicles associated with bioactive phytochemicals. This publication has resulted from multidisciplinary collaboration of multiple research groups from Serbia, Slovenia and Hungary.
