Miloš Rokić

Miloš Rokić is an Assistant Research Professor in the Sociomicrobiology Group IMGGE. His research focuses on understanding the role of bacteria in the formation of chronic wounds in people with diabetes.

Miloš is the leader of a project titled Prevention and Eradication of Chronic Wounds in Diabetic Patients - Patients Come to the Rescue, which is in the final phase of implementation. The project concerns the assessment of risk factors for the occurrence of chronic wounds in diabetic patients, taking into account a biopsychosocial approach.

Miloš graduated from the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. He completed his doctorate at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Charles University in Prague. The experimental part of his thesis was conducted at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Since his doctorate in 2013, he has been in the USA for postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Child Heallth and Human Development, in Washington DC. He has been employed at IMGGE since 2022.
