Milica Burović is a Junior Researcher in the Eco-Biotechnology and Drug Development Group at the IMGGE. Her research is focused on bacteria as biosurfactant producers and their application in polyethylene degradation, with a particular emphasis on bacterial enzymes and the selection of the most efficient strains for the degradation of plastic polymers.

Milica Burović graduated in 2023 from the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, where she also completed her MSc studies in 2024 within the Molecular Biology and Physiology program. In 2025, she enrolled in PhD studies at the same faculty in the Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering program, when she joined IMGGE as a Junior Researcher.
