RESEARCH INTEREST
Human molecular genetics, genetic engineering, molecular cytogenetics, modeling of neurodevelopmental disorders using stem cells. Specific scientific interest: Studying the structure and regulation of human SOX genes expression; Investigation of the roles of SOX genes in maintaining pluripotency, cell fate determination and differentiation; Studying the roles of SOX genes in oncogenesis. Analysis of potential antitumor, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties of bioactive and synthetic compounds using in vitro tests; Investigation of pathophysiological mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders in patients with 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome; Application of stem cells and brain organoids in the development of modern technologies for modeling neurodevelopmental disorders.
