RESEARCH INTEREST
Understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating cancer formation and growth are of great interest for developing the better approaches for cancer therapy. In the last few years, numerous data shown that deregulation of Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) signaling pathway has been associated with onset and progression of various types of human cancers. In addition, SOX genes are involved in various phases in cancer development. The main focus of our study is investigating the functional crosstalk between Sonic Hedgehog(SHH) signaling pathway and human SOX gene in cancel cell lines.
