Group for Rare Disease Research and Therapeutics Development
Department of Human Molecular Genetics and Genomics

Kristina Grujić is a Junior Researcher in the Rare Disease Research and Therapeutics Development Group at the IMGGE. She is currently conducting experimental work for her PhD thesis in the field of molecular biomedicine. Her research is focused on the molecular genetic basis of rare diseases, particularly inherited metabolic disorders, with an emphasis on molecular diagnostics, genotype–phenotype correlations, and functional characterization of novel genetic variants.

Kristina earned her Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Physiology from the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, in 2023, followed by a Master's degree in Human Molecular Biology in 2024. In the same year, she enrolled in the PhD program in Molecular Biology – Molecular Biomedicine at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, and began working as a Junior Researcher at the IMGGE.
