Isidora Ćurić
Group for Molecular Biomedicine
Department of Human Molecular Genetics and Genomics
Isidora Ćurić is a Junior Researcher in the Group for Molecular Biomedicine in IMGGE. She is a PhD student in the field of Molecular Biology, at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. As part of her PhD research, she is investigating pharmacogenomic profiling of anti-leukemic agents to enhance treatment response and outcomes in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This research is based on the application of next-generation sequencing data from pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients and healthy controls in the Western Balkans, with the aim of identifying genetic determinants of drug response and toxicity, defining population-specific pharmacogenomic profiles, and advancing personalized medicine approaches to optimize treatment. She actively participates in the diagnosis of rare diseases using advanced genetic methods and engages in both domestic and international projects within her research group.
Isidora earned her Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Physiology from the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, in 2022, and after completing her master’s studies at the same faculty, in the Genomics module, she earned her Master's degree in Molecular Biology in 2023. She enrolled in the PhD program in Molecular Biology, submodule Molecular Genetics and Genomics, at the Faculty of Biology in 2023 and began working at IMGGE as a Junior Researcher in the same year.
