IMGGI programs for the promotion and popularization of molecular biology include manifestations and activities that are aimed to bring molecular biology closer to elementary and high school students and to get them interested for career in this field of science.
IMGGI programs for the promotion and popularization of molecular biology are funded by the Secretariat for Sport and Youth of the City of Belgrade and are supported by the Serbian National Committee for UNESCO.
In 2017, IMGGE will organize the following programs:
|Little School of DNAlogy - program promotion and popularization of molecular biology through the "do it yourself" experiments that are realized as a traveling laboratory in primary schools and as a workshop for high school students in IMGGE|
|Scholar the Molecular - program of lectures with demonstrations for high school students about the basic concepts and basic techniques in molecular biology, which is being implemented in IMGGE during the school year and summer/winter break|
|Researchers' Night - interactive program content which is held every last Friday in September under the auspices of the European Commission|
|DNA Day - themed program of lectures and workshops that are being implemented in cultural institutions in the city center on April 25 to mark the anniversary of two major scientific achievements in the field of human genetics.|
|Fascination of Plants Day - program of thematic lectures and workshops dedicated to the promotion of scientific disciplines engaged in the study of plants carried out on 18 May under the auspices of the European Organisation for Plant Biology.|
|Unistem Day - program of lectures and workshops organized on March 17 in order to promote research on stem cells supported by the EuroStemCell consortium|
|Brain Awareness Week - program of lectures and workshops organized from 13 to 19 March in order to popularize neuroscience in cooperation with the Serbian Society for Neuroscience.|
|Biodiversity Day - program of lectures and workshops aimed to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues that is organized on 22 May to honor the signiging of the Convention of Biological Diversity.|
|World Science Day - program of workshops dedicated to developing academic skills in high school and university students.|
