OBLAST NAUČNOG ISTRAŽIVANJA

Oblast naučnog istraživanja obuhvata: analizu sastava mikrobiote u korelaciji sa različitim bolestima ljudi i životinja, identifikaciju novih mikrobioloških markera koji su pozitivno korelisani sa dobrim zdravstvenim statusom ljudi i životinja, analiza probiotičkog potencijala prirodnih izolata bakterija, izučavanje interakcije probiotičkih bakterija sa domaćinom, biohemijska karakterizacija bioaktivnih jedinjenja sintetisanih od strane probiotičkih bakterija. Tekući projekti se odnose na karakterizaciju gena i faktora odgovornih za probiotički potencijal laktobacila (egzopolisaharidi, GABA, imunomodulatori, neurotransmiteri, indukcija autofagije). Osim toga, razvoj novih terapeutskih strategija za prevenciju i tretman različitih bolesti i formulacija probiotičkih kultura za ljude i životinje.
