Evaluation of antimicrobial activity of materials

To determine the antibacterial effect, we offer standardized ESKAPE (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter sp.) panel and different strains of Candida sp. (albicans, parapsilosis, krusei and glabrata). To determine the MIC concentration of the material, we use two standardized essays, direct and indirect (testing the activity of the material in static conditions in a petri dish and extracting the active components of the material in liquid cultures and determining the MIC value by microdilution method). Testing would be performed in several different concentrations, each concentration in four replicates. The minimum mass/surface area of the material required for testing is 150 mg per strain of microorganism on which the activity is tested or 1 x 2 cm of surface area.

Type of analysis:

Evaluation of antimicrobial activity of materials on strains from ESKAPE panel and/or Candida sp strains.
The result is presented as the percentage of growth inhibition of the tested microorganism in the presence of material.
