Little School of DNAlogy

"Little School of DNAlogy" contributes to the promotion and popularization of molecular biology through two types of activities based on hands on experiments: traveling laboratory and workshop.

Traveling laboratory visits preschools and elementary schools and turns classroom into a laboratory. During one class students perform experiments of microscopy of their own buccal swab cells, as well as DNA extraction. All experiments are safe and based on chemicals in everyday use (liquid soap, pineapple juice, table salt, etc).

Workshop is intended for high school students, university students and elementary and high school biology professors, as well as for general population. Workshop is organized in the IMGGE and also encompasses hands on experiments.
