Istraživanje

U Laboratoriji za molekularnu biologiju se izučavaju molekularni mehanizmi koji leže u osnovi kardovaskularnih, malignih, plućnih i neuromišićnih bolesti. Naši istraživački ciljevi obuhvataju rasvetljavanje fundamentalnih fiziloških procesa i etiopatoloških mehanizama u ovim bolestima, kao i primenu dobijenih rezultata u dijagnostici i terapiji. Oblasti istraživanja laboratorije su:

  • Ispitivanje molekularnih mehanizama hemostaze, inflamacije, remodelovanja tkiva i  odgovora na mehanički i oksidativni stres.
  • Izučavanje biološke funkcije odabranih molekula i njihove uloge u oboljenjima od interesa: MARP proteini, protrombin, alfa 1-antitripsin, TGFB1, SMAD4, CYP2C19 i VKORC1.
  • Analiza uticaja genskih varijanti i sredinskih faktora na fenotip.
  • Identifikacija i funkcionalna karakterizacija molekularnih markera.
  • Farmakogenetika.
  • Proučavanje molekularnih mehanizama fizioloških i patoloških procesa od interesa in vitro (primarne i kontinuirane ćelijske linije) i in vivo (zebrice).
  • Razvoj metoda za neinvazivnu molekularnu dijagnostiku.

Laboratorija za molekularnu biologiju uspešno sarađuje sa brojnim naučno-istraživačkim i zdravstvenim ustanovama u Srbiji, kao i eminentnim institutima iz inostranstva i otvorena je za sve vidove saradnje.
