Certain genetic test require RNA as their starting material. The isolated RNA has to be of specific concentration and purity.
Laboratory for Molecular Biomedicine offers service of RNA extraction from mononuclear cells of peripheral blood or bone marrow. Isolation is carried out by a standard method using TRIzol - reagent. The RNA isolated is of adequate quality and concentration, ready for further genetic testing.
It is necessary to deliver 1 tube of peripheral blood using 3.8% sodium citrate as anticoagulant in vol/vol ratio 9:1. The sample is required to be delivered fresh, without freezing, during the same day. The samples are accepted every day from 10 to 13h. It is possible to deliver the sample via post express service.
