Genetic analysis of a clinically relevant gene could be crucial for diagnostics of rare inherited diseases. Therefore, experts from the Laboratory for molecular biomedicine will find a suitable way to analyze any human gene upon a patient/physician request. This service includes expert analysis of the request based on the available literature, detection of genetic variants in the exons and exon/intron flanking regions of the gene and interpretation of obtained results. The service also includes primer design, their purchase, PCR optimization and Sanger sequencing. The service doesn’t include detection of large deletions and complex gene rearrangements. The price is based on the number of exons needed to be analyzed independently.
It is necessary to deliver 2.5 ml of peripheral blood using 3.8% sodium citrate as anticoagulant. It is possible to deliver a blood sample that has already been frozen. The samples are accepted every day from 10 to 13h. There is possibility to deliver the sample via post express service. The results and the bill are sent to the patient's home address, or can be collected personally at the Institute from 10 to 16h every day.
