  • Isolation and characterization of new bioactive compounds with antibacterial, antifungal, antitumor activity and elucidation of their mechanisms of action;
  • Identification of small molecules inhibitors of bacterial quorum sensing system targeting bacterial virulence as novel strategy to fight bacterial infections;
  • Identification of novel compounds with inhibitory effect of bacterial and fungal biofilms;
  • Developing new and more efficient therapeutics using nano-carriers for targeted drug delivery,increased stability of the therapeutics, higher specificity of the therapy and less side effects including reduced effect of multi drug resistance.
