  • Studying microbial diversity of various environmental samples using both metagenomic and traditional microbiological approach;
  • Microbial diversity as source of novel genes and metabolites;
  • Collection of microbial isolates from different locations, phylogenetic analyses, and studying secondary metabolites;

Molecular biotechnology

  • Isolation of interesting microorganisms, enzymes and metabolites with potential application in bioremediation and biotechnology.
