Applied microbiology, molecular microbiology, biotechnology, bioactive compounds. Identification and characterization of novel bioactive compounds from Streptomyces, optimization of production of bioactive compounds, characterization of genes for production of bioactive compounds, application of bioactive secondary metabolites of Streptomyces as antimicrobials and antifungals in medicine and crop protection, ecophysiological role of Streptomyces secondary metabolites.
