Call for the CRP - ICGEB Research Grants 2018

International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) has announced the call for the CRP - ICGEB Research Grants 2018.  The programme provides support for research activities in basic life sciences, human healthcare, industrial and agricultural biotechnology and bioenergy. The deadline for submission is April 30, 2018.

BelBi 2018

From June 18th to 22nd, 2018, Belgrade will host the second Belgrade Bioinformatics Conference (BelBi 2018). IMGGE is the conference organizer, along with other scientific institutions, members of universities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Nis. The conference will gather researchers interested in the field of computer science and information technologies for analysis of big data and their application in life sciences (precision medicine, microbiology, plant science, etc).  Information can be found at: http://belbi.bg.ac.rs

Marija Miljkovic won L'OREAL-UNESCO "For Women in Science" award

Marija Miljkovic, Research Associate of the Laboratory for Molecular Microbiology, is one of three this year's winners of the national fellowship "For Women in Science" awarded by L'OREAL Balkan. The fellowship is awarded in partnership with Serbian National Commission for UNESCO and with the support of Ministry for Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia with the aim to affirm the role of female researchers and their contribution to the scientific progress.
